The traditional
library website cannot meet the needs of users in the new era. Library uses the
social media, which provides a simple and cost-effective tool for communicating
with your library users with others. Social media has the characteristics of
encouraging library users to participate and form network interconnection and
providing personalised recommendation and guidance services for library users.
In the era of Web 2.0, libraries make use of the concepts and technologies of
social media, as well as convenient information acquisition and sharing
features, to publicise and promote library services, gain the trust and
dependence of users, and thus improve services. Social media can bring people
together in anywhere of the world and promote engagement through a community in
their local library.
